This is a new place. Not a platform, not a feed, not a product. Just a place to put things — writing, photographs, whatever accumulates.
The name comes from a line I keep returning to. We build machines and then we have to live with them. Sometimes the living-with is the interesting part. The part where the thing you made starts to make you.
We shape our tools and thereafter our tools shape us.
I’ve had sites before. They were hand-built, too. HTML files with inline styles and a color palette I liked. That’s still what this is, underneath — just words arranged on a dark screen, sent out into the network.
More soon.
